Day 3 - Sunday Sermon Recap Devotional
Welcome to Day number 3 on our devotional on last Sunday’s Sermon:
Lamentations 3:19-26: Remember my affliction and my wanderings, the wormwood and the gall! My soul continually remembers it and is bowed down within me. But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
Even in our darkest moments, God's character remains unchanged. Jeremiah, amidst great suffering, chooses to remember God's steadfast love and faithfulness. When trials come, we're often tempted to doubt God's goodness. Yet it's precisely in these moments that clinging to the truth of who God is becomes our lifeline. Today, make a list of God's attributes revealed in this passage. How does focusing on these truths change your perspective on your current challenges? Let Jeremiah's declaration, "The Lord is my portion," become your own as you face whatever this day brings.
