Day 3 - Sunday Sermon Recap
Welcome to Day number 3 of our devotional based on last Sunday’s Sermon:
Psalm 46:6-9 The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah. Come, behold the works of the Lord, how he has brought desolations on the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire.
Isaiah 40:28-31: Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
In a world where nations rage and kingdoms totter, we serve an invincible King. When nations rage and kingdoms totter, our God merely speaks and the earth melts. As you consider the challenges you might face this year, how does the reminder of God's supreme authority change your perspective? Isaiah encourages us that those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. Reflect on how you can cultivate a deeper hope in God's power, even when circumstances seem dire. Remember, the same God who holds the universe in His hands holds your life as well.
