Day 2 - Sunday Sermon Recap

Dec 31, 2024    Pastor Javier Vega

Welcome to day number two of our daily devotional based on last Sunday’s sermon: Psalm Chapter 46 verses 4 through 7: There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns. The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress: In Psalm chapter 46 the psalmist speaks of a river that makes glad the city of God. As believers, we are now God's temple, and His Spirit dwells within us. This river represents God's constant, life-giving presence in our lives. Later in the Gospels, Jesus expands on this imagery by inviting us to drink from the living water He provides. So, as you face the uncertainties of a new year, remember that God's presence is not distant - He resides within you. How can you be more aware of God’s guidance and comfort in your daily life? Take time today to "be still" and listen for God's voice and let His presence refresh your soul like a life-giving stream.
